Upon arrival to Cap Maison Resort I peered through the iron gates of the beautiful Spanish- Caribbean Style villas that immediately caught my eye. We were quickly greeted by security who captured our temperature. The restaurant supervisor, Robinson met us at the gate and walked us through the property. Robinson's kindness and details of the resort made us feel at home. The views of the Caribbean Sea, the inviting infinity pool, the nicely lined lounge chairs and the deck below where many wedding ceremonies take place were a pinnacle part of the resort. Robinson shared the story of the line that extends from the Cliff at the Cap to the deck below, basically your champagne shoots down the line to toast your celebration. It was such a great touch, I'd love to see this in person. Our walk continued as we passed gorgeous landscapes, humming birds and several beautiful flowers as we walked through the resort.
The boutique resort had a luxurious feel to it. When we walked into one of the villas, we were stunned at the grandeur of the villa itself. They are perfect for couples, families or groups. They are spacious and luxurious. We stayed in Suite 1, boasting amazing views of the ocean and resort pool. We also had our own luxury pool in the back of our villa, fully stocked kitchen, dining and sitting area, half bath and jaw dropping spacious master bedroom and bathroom. Perfect background for relaxing in pure luxury. You can keep the french doors from the dining room and living room open to the back where you can jump into your personal infinity pool or relax on the lounge chairs to take in the sounds and views. There's also a table and chairs to enjoy your morning tea or coffee. Oh, best part if you're there for a few days or start or end your vacation here there's a full washer and dryer in the suite. They provide the detergent, but you can simply pack your own if you have a preference. If you are with a bigger group and rent the entire villa there's a rooftop pool and dazzling rooftop terrace to enjoy.
Cap Maison's Beautiful Villa #1
The staff is kind and pampering and makes you feel very special. This is the beauty of a boutique hotel. At the Cliff at Cap we enjoyed our breakfast [included] and lunch. Hand sanitizer and temperatures are taken before you are seated. The breakfast menu changes daily and "Good Morning, it's Monday" written on top of my menu was such a personal touch and put a smile on my morning. On a non pandemic day you can drive into Rodney Bay to have a bite to eat, but the area was closed. This didn't bother us as we had some delicious breakfast and lunch meals as we gazed at the Caribbean Sea and Pigeon Island across the water. On a nice day you can catch a glimpse of Martinique island. My favorite view within the restaurant were the open shutters located on the far right and the views of the ocean they boasted--loved the pictures I snapped. I also discovered the hole below next to the "Rock Maison [wedding deck perched out at sea] ", it's a jacuzzi tub carved into the rocks made to take a dip below, the water hitting the rocks will fill the large sitting hole and continue to replenish. You have to see it to admire the beauty. A must do when I go back. You can Cap it all off with an All Inclusive option as well:
- Choice of continental or full breakfast a la carte
- 3 course lunch and dinner served from an a la carte menu
- Daily specials including that mornings local catch
- In room dining included as well as soft drinks and beers
- Luxury spirit brands by the glass
- Selectively chosen House Wines by the glass selected from their resident sommelier
- Soft drinks, beer and house cocktails by the glass
For dinner we dined at the Naked Fisherman. You walk through the resort and down about 92 steps. I'm not sure it was 92, but I did it with a recovering sprained ankle. It was the perfect way for me to digest my drinks and meals. The stairs "capped" the experience at Cap Maison. The Naked Fisherman is perched above their beautiful beach for more of a casual dining experience. We feasted on a delicious seafood platter. You can hear the waves as you sit and enjoy your dinner. The service is impeccable! Hand sanitizer and temperatures are taken before you are seated. I was afraid to drink too much because I had to climb back up the steps after dinner--I made it, but I didn't see the Naked Fisherman.
We enjoyed two incredible days at the beach. Beautiful Smugglers Cove Beach, very intimate. It wasn't crowded due to COVID-19, so two lounge chairs and rolled towels were waiting for us. We were greeted immediately with a bucket of ice, water bottle and glasses. We asked for a signature drink and the Rasta Man who's a signature at the Naked Fisherman made us a delicious watermelon infused drink to enjoy while lounging at the beach. [We were told by Keegan at Cliff at Cap, that our Rasta Man was the Naked Fisherman, not sure if it's a tale].There's a kind gentleman sitting off to the side who asked if I wanted to look at his hand made items. His name was August. He has worked here on the beach for years, such a beautiful soul. I bought a copper bracelet and bird feeder he carved from a coconut to support him. The bird feeder was truly adorable. He carved a mama, pappa and baby bird that line the feeder. Until we meet again August, stay safe. The sand was soft and the waves were small. The beach was private and secluded and added to the personal boutique style resort. They also had a lounging area perched above near the Naked Fisherman. It was inviting with colors of lime green and blue, enjoyed our time relaxing there. One had to walk through the Naked Fisherman, step into a tub of water to remove the sand from your feet and hop on the deck to get to the lounge area. We sat, enjoyed our drinks and the view for hours. What a beautiful day!
Beautiful Smugglers Beach
Can it get any better? YES it can. Robinson showed us "his room" on our walk through. "His room" was a gorgeous walk-in wine cellar. A wine connoisseur, he eagerly shared the history of the cellar, wines and rums that lined the cellar. We asked Robinson if we can have a wine-tasting dinner on our last night in St. Lucia. He was happy to host! He asked if we had any food allergies and worked with Chef to create a menu for us. We met at the cellar at 7:30pm, our wine glasses were beautifully set at the bar. The menu was personalized for us and we enjoyed a scrumptious 5-course meal paired with delicious wines. Kudos to Chef for an outstanding dinner. Robinson takes so much pride in his selections and shared stories of each wine he chose to accompany our course. Thank you Robi! Simply delicious and what a special experience on our last day at Cap Maison Resort and St. Lucia.St. Lucias tagline is "Let her Inspire You"--truly you did! You did not miss a beat.
